Is the GDPR warning madness coming now?

June 15, 2018

Surely the General Data Protection Regulation, short GDPR, has also passed you unnoticed in recent months, weeks and especially days. Already just because you are flooded daily with "Data protection is important to us" spam.

The GDPR was brought forward by some over‑motivated members of the EU parliament, perhaps many of them have not fully understood the GDPR and considered the consequences. Because the GDPR was supposed to mainly keep powerful data monsters like Facebook and Google in check, but now it drags everything around it into the depths of GDPR madness. After repeatedly assuring that there would certainly be no wave of cease‑and‑desist letters, the situation now looks very different. According to heise.de, the first cease‑and‑desist notices arrived on May 25.

We therefore recommend every customer, whether using the private or commercial version, to update to TekBASE 8.5.5. For our commercial customers we recommend the Händlerbund. Starting at 9,90EUR per month, the own shop can be secured with up-to-date legal texts.
