TekBASE - Update 8.5 - GDPR part 1

With the update 8.5.0 we provide the first part of our GDPR‑compliant adjustments. Among other things we have revised almost all modules in the CMS area. Only data that is absolutely necessary is requested now; all further information from the user is voluntary.

Additionally, all forms are equipped with a notice about data processing. The user must consent. In the background logs are generated that record when the user gave consent and which data was collected. The retention period is also noted.

The shop has been partially rewritten and expanded for user‑friendliness. A novelty that all individualists and programmers are likely to appreciate is the customizable menus for the admin and customer areas. The individual links can now be sorted and expanded arbitrarily. For example, the link for the internal ticket system can be removed and an external one inserted.

Information about GDPR adjustments of the designs has been published for TekBASE 8 and also for the old TekBASE 7 version in the forum.
